A community project

Rural-WEB is a club, and exists for the benefit of its members. It has a constitution and elected officers.

To join Rural-WEB a one-off, refundable membership fee of £47 (£40 + VAT) is payable. This fee enables us to loan to members basic equipment for connecting to Rural-WEB from one computer or router. If any additional equipment or installation work (such as an external antenna) in needed, this will be chargeable.

There is service charge of £96 per year, including the first, payable in advance.

We hope that members of the Club will feel able to contribute to supporting each other according to their abilities - technical or otherwise. We hope to sustain Rural-WEB through a growing base of subscribing members, so being able to offer a service competitive with commercial offerings and to stay abreast of advances in technology. We would like through self-help to develop internet and other computer applications for the benefit of the community.
